Sporting Braga cemented their spot in the top three of the Liga Sagres table for another week with a 3-1 win over Gil Vicente on Friday.
In what was an entertaining encounter at the Estadio Cidade de Barcelos, Hugo Viana put Braga ahead in first-half injury time with his fifth goal of the campaign.
Hosts Gil Vicente hit back through Hugo Vieira who levelled the scores just after the hour mark.
But Braga proved too strong in latter stages, with Viana scoring his second in the 81st minute before Jose Ze Luis secured the points two minutes later following an error from Gil Vicente goalkeeper Adriano Facchini.
The win moves Braga four points clear of fourth-placed Pacos de Ferreira while Gil Vicente remain two points out of the relegation zone with the round’s other fixtures still to be played.
