Lille director general Frederic Paquet has re-affirmed that Moussa Sow is not for sale during the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old’s contract expires at the end of next season, fuelling talk of a departure from Stade Lille-Metropole, and the forward has emerged as a target for Turkish club Fenerbahce in the summer.

Despite admitting that the Istanbul giants had made an offer for Sow, Paquet told La Voix du Nord that there was no chance of the club losing one of their prize assets.

“There has never been negotiations between Fenerbahce and LOSC. We received an offer from Fenerbahce yesterday, but we haven’t responded,” he said.

“No squad member will leave in January. I will be very clear: Moussa is not for sale, there’s no negotiation with Fenerbahce.”

Meanwhile there are reports that Sow is not tempted by the prospect of a move to the Super Lig, and would prefer to test himself in the Premier League.
