David Luiz says Barcelona are an appealing club for any player, but insists he is focused solely on impressing at Chelsea.

Luiz, 24, is reportedly a target for La Liga heavyweights Barca if they fail in their efforts to lure his fellow Brazil defender Thiago Silva away from AC Milan.

Former Benfica man Luiz is aware of the speculation surrounding his future but said he has not been sounded out by Barcelona or any other club.

“I would be lying if I said I know nothing about it,” he told Sport.

“I am aware, also because there have been continuous reports for months about Barca’s possible interest.”

“What I can say is that there have been no negotiations and no one has made a concrete offer for me.”

“I am 100 percent a Chelsea player.”

When asked for his opinion about Barca, Luiz acknowledged a potential move to the club would be tempting for any player.

“They are a great team who play fantastic football,” Luiz said.

“Every footballer would be delighted to play for Barcelona, but I belong to Chelsea.”
