Maicon reject Inter exit talk

Inter defender Maicon insists his career at San Siro is not under threat as he quashed rumours of a January exit.

Fresh speculation surfaced after Italian agent Antonio Caliendo said the Brazilian full-back would be leaving the club in coming transfer window.

However, despite reports claiming Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala were interested, Maicon has answered questions over his future and claimed he has no intention of leaving the San Siro.

“I have never thought about leaving Inter,” Maicon told Inter Channel.

“There have been people saying that I will be leaving, but there is nothing true regarding me and the transfer market.”

“I am happy at Inter, but often things that are not true about by future come out. I am happy here.”

Maicon returned to action in the 3-0 loss to Napoli last weekend following a knee injury.
