Premier League champions Manchester City are set to wrap up the deal for Napoli playmaker Jorginho, according to reports in Italy.
The Azzurri reportedly had a €50 million bid accepted, leaving the player and his representatives to try and agree personal terms with the Citizens.
Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has moved to confirm an offer has arrived, revealing that his client would be happy to join Man City.
“I know that an offer has arrived from Manchester City to Napoli,” Joao Santos admitted.
“We’re waiting for the Italians’ response, I don’t think they’ve rejected offers. If Napoli find an agreement with City we’ll evaluate everything.
“Obviously Manchester City would be very welcome, and couldn’t be turned down.”
Jorginho, 26, has been one of Napoli’s star performers in recent years, and he managed 2 goals and 4 assists in 33 Serie A starts last term.
The Brazilian-born midfielder seems to have also nailed down a regular starting berth in the Italian national team, having chosen to represent his adopted country on the international stage.
