Manchester City‘s Claudio Bravo has suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in a training session on Monday, leaving manager Pep Guardiola without a senior backup for first-choice goalkeeper Ederson Moraes. The only option to put on the bench is 20-year-old Daniel Grimshaw.
In such a predicament, Guardiola is prepared to in for Real Madrid‘s Keylor Navas according to AS, aiming for a loan move for the Costa Rica international whose place between the posts at Santiago Bernabeu is in jeopardy following the arrival of Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea.
Real Madrid are prepared to let Navas go and remain with Courtois, Kiko Casilla and Andriy Lunin as the goalkeeping options if he hands in a transfer request. However, it’s hard to see why the three-time Champions League winner would want to move from Spain to the North-West of England, only to find himself in a similar predicament – on the bench. Further more, he spoke several times about his wish to remain at Real for as long as possible.
