According to multiple sources, Manchester United have reached an agreement with Brentford over the proposed transfer of Bryan Mbeumo. The 20-time English champions will pay a total fee of up to £71million for the services of the 25-year-old forward, add-ons included.
It’s been several weeks since Mbeumo accepted United’s proposal of a five-year contract, with the Red Devils having the option to extend it by a further year. Mbeumo has already informed other prospective suitors that he’s only interested in joining United.
Mbeumo joined Brentford from Troyes back in 2019. In the six years gone since, he made a total of 242 appearances for the Bees in all competitions, scoring 70 goals and contributing with 51 assists. Boasting plenty of pace, power, finishing ability and Premier League experience, he is widely expected to represent a significant addition to Ruben Amorim’s squad at Old Trafford, along with Matheus Cunha, as they aim to improve on the woeful 15th-place finish of 2024/25.
