Diego Maradona believes Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is keen to take charge of Inter if he ever decides to leave his current club.

The Barca boss has an expiring contract at Camp Nou, and he has yet to make a decision on his future.

Guardiola has been linked with Inter more than once in the past, and Argentine legend Maradona would not be surprised if he eventually ended up at the San Siro.

“I think that if he (Guardiola) ever leaves Barcelona, he wants to take over at Inter,” Maradona told El Economista.

“He will probably receive offers from all over the world. He is an excellent coach and is fortunate to work with the best players in the world at Barca.”

Guardiola has won three La Liga titles, and two Champions League crowns among many other trophies since taking the head job at Barcelona in 2008.
