March 16th: Saturday’s European Accumulator – 8/1

With the FA Cup quarter-finals getting under this weekend, we have a stacked schedule from across Europe’s elite.

As the likes of Tottenham look to skyrocket their way back into the Champions League places, there is also a full fixture list from the likes of La Liga.

For those of you looking to chuck on a Saturday acca, we have taken an in-depth look at three of the best available betting markets.

Saturday, March 16th

BST 17:30 Manchester City vs Newcastle

While Manchester City might have been disappointed last weekend as they eventually had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate at Anfield, Pep Guardiola’s men are enjoying another real purple patch. Making real history last season as they became the first English club since 1999 to be crowned treble champions, the Sky Blues are desperate to embark on another domestic romp. Likewise, extending on their Champions League adventure earlier in the month and punching their quarter-final ticket thanks to a 6-2 aggregate victory against Copenhagen, the former Barcelona boss finds his superstar squad in the midst of a 21-match unbeaten run across all competitions. Opening up March with a 3-1 win against bitter local rivals Manchester United, City will be excited to turn their attention back to FA Cup action on Saturday evening. Although Guardiola’s men might be seeking some recent defensive stability, they will be looking to cash in on a Newcastle side that have continued to show some glaring inconsistencies this season. Falling to an action-packed 3-2 defeat away at Chelsea earlier in the week, the Magpies face a major uphill battle in their bid to secure another European finish in 2024. With continued speculation over Eddie Howe’s future at St. James’ Park, Saturday’s guests have won just one of their previous five appearances across all competitions within 90 minutes. It should also be noted, Newcastle have shipped 11 goals in just their last five showdowns on the road.

Tip: Manchester City win & Both teams to score @ 13/8

17:30 Fulham vs Tottenham

Putting in a stunning performance last weekend as they stormed their way to a 4-0 romp away at Aston Villa, Tottenham have their sights firmly set on booking a Champions League return in 2024. With the mood in Ange Postecoglou’s camp at a red-hot high, Spurs have continued to receive a string of plaudits this season. Opening March with a 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace, Saturday’s guests are unbeaten in all of their previous eight Premier League appearances. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat just two points adrift of breaking into the top-four, Tottenham will know the importance of making another statement here. Gaining a reputation for their eye-catching approach under the former Celtic boss, Spurs will also be excited by a rampant record against their London rivals. Claiming a routine 2-0 win when they welcomed Fulham across the capital for their reverse meeting on October 23rd, Postecoglou’s side have not suffered a single Premier League defeat against Fulham since way back in March 2013. With the Cottagers almost sat in top-flight limbo, Marco Silva’s men have largely struggled with their consistency since opening the New Year. Last seen getting hit with a 2-1 defeat away at Wolves, Saturday’s hosts have won just a trio of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions. With Spurs landing a 1-0 victory when they travelled to Craven Cottage last season, we are expecting Tottenham to extend on their Champions League charge here.

Tip: Tottenham win @ 11/10

20:00 Athletic Bilbao vs Alaves

While Athletic Bilbao might have eventually fallen short in their bid to book a European return last season, the Lions are enjoying a real La Liga romp this time around. Last seen putting in another rugged performance as they secured a 2-0 victory away at Las Palmas, Ernesto Valverde’s men are dreaming of the chance to punch a Champions League ticket in 2024. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat just two points adrift of breaking into the top-four, the one-time Barcelona boss will be smelling the chance to make another statement here. Punching their spot in this season’s Copa del Rey final as they landed a famous 4-0 aggregate victory against Atletico Madrid, Bilbao are unbeaten in all of their previous 10 appearances across all competitions. Continuing to shine with their displays at the back and not conceding a single goal in almost 300 minutes of action, Valverde’s men are rightfully tipped as a standout contender here. While Alaves might have drawn a line under their five-match winless run last week as they snatched a 1-0 victory against Rayo Vallecano, Saturday’s guests certainly face a real challenge here. Hit with a 2-0 defeat when they travelled to San Mames while in Copa del Rey action back on January 16th, they are also without a win from their previous six meetings against the Champions League chasers. Likewise, Alaves have also drawn a blank in three of their last four contests on the road.

Tip: Athletic Bilbao win & Under 5.5 goals @ 4/6
