March 30th: Saturday’s Premier League Double – 6/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With the Premier League making its return throughout Saturday, we have what could be a season-defining fixture list on the cards this weekend.

Although Manchester City might welcome Arsenal to the Etihad on Sunday afternoon, the likes of Newcastle and Chelsea will steal most of the headlines.

So, for those of you who are looking to stick on a Saturday flutter, we have found a pair of intriguing Premier League betting markets.

12:30 Newcastle vs West Ham

Although Newcastle might have made real history last season as they secured a famous Champions League ticket, the Magpies have struggled to find a similar level this time around. Heading into March’s international break with a routine 2-0 loss at the hands of Manchester City as their FA Cup adventure came to an end, Saturday’s hosts are seeking some crucial stability.

Mustering just a single victory from any of their previous five meetings against Premier League opposition, Eddie Howe will also have a continued headache over his side’s issues at the back.

Recording just a sole Premier League clean sheet since a 3-0 romp against Fulham on December 16th, the former Bournemouth boss has found some real scrutiny over his long-term future at St. James’ Park.

Marking their return from the fortnight interval holding just a one-point buffer from dropping out the top-half of the table, Newcastle will be more than aware that they face what could be a season-defining showdown this weekend.

On the flip side, while West Ham might have booked a Europa League quarter-final ticket earlier in the month as they secured a 5-1 aggregate victory against German outfit Freiburg, Saturday’s guests have shown some extended inconsistencies since opening the New Year.

Heading into the fortnight interval with a hugely controversial 1-1 stalemate at home against Aston Villa, there still remains plenty of questions over David Moyes’ position in the London Stadium dugout.

The former Manchester United boss has seen his squad win just a pair of their previous 12 domestic appearances across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to a 2-0 win against Arsenal on December 28th.

15:00 Chelsea vs Burnley

Although Chelsea might have suffered EFL Cup heartbreak at the hands of Liverpool’s youngsters on February 25th, the Blues do appear to have turned a recent corner. Heading into March’s international break with an action-packed 4-2 victory against Championship outfit Leicester while in FA Cup action, Mauricio Pochettino’s men will certainly be smelling a golden opportunity here.

Although the former Premier League champions might have a major battle on their hands in their bid to book a European return, Saturday’s hosts have suffered just a single loss from any of their previous eight appearances across all competitions.

Likewise, gaining a recent reputation for their lively outcomes, the former Tottenham boss will certainly be calling on his new attacking talisman to spearhead Chelsea’s charge in west London.

Expected to feature in Gareth Southgate’s squad for this summer’s European Championships, Cole Palmer has only continued to shine since arriving from Manchester City last summer.

Already notching 11 Premier League goals since arriving in west London, Palmer also found the net in back-to-back appearances prior to March’s international break.

Although Burnley might have been last seen heading into the fortnight break with a shock 2-1 victory against Brentford, Saturday’s guests are limping their way to an immediate Championship return.

Continuing to show a string of issues this season and rightfully tipped as a landslide relegation contender in 2024, Vincent Kompany has also found increasing pressure on his shoulders at Turf Moor.

Collecting just 17 points from their 29 Premier League appearances this season and hit with a 4-1 drumming when they welcomed Chelsea to Lancashire back on October 7th, Burnley’s leaky defence will face another stern examination here.
