May 25th: Saturday’s European Double – 5/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

While the FA Cup final might steal most of Saturday’s headlines, we still have a string of eye-catching affairs from across the continent.

As the likes of Serie A and La Liga head into their final weekend, there are plenty of intriguing European betting markets that are available.

So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday flutter, we have found a pair of the most lucrative betting tips.

15:00 Manchester City vs Manchester United

While Manchester City might have suffered Champions League heartbreak last month, the Sky Blues have only continued on another astonishing domestic romp this season. Crowned Premier League champions for a fourth consecutive time last weekend as they secured a 3-1 victory at home against West Ham, Pep Guardiola’s men will be relishing a trip to Wembley here.

Not suffering a single defeat against Premier League opposition since the start of December, the English giants are now on the cusp of completing another double-winning campaign.

Likewise, winning all of their last 10 straight domestic appearances across all competitions, the Premier League record-breakers have gained a fearsome reputation for their free-scoring performances in the final third.

Although Erling Haaland might have cruised his way to another Golden Boot this season, it has been Phil Foden who has stolen plenty of Man City’s headlines.

Including a final weekend brace against West Ham last weekend and expected to play a leading role for England at this summer’s European Championships, the Stockport-born superstar has recorded 26 goals across all competitions.

Although Manchester United might have signed off the 2023/24 campaign with back-to-back victories against Brighton and Newcastle, the Red Devils have endured a Premier League nightmare this season.

Eventually forced to settle for an eighth-place finish and with no European football on the cards for next year, the pressure on Erik ten Hag’s shoulders still remains at a boiling point.

With many expecting the former Ajax boss to be removed from the Old Trafford dugout this summer, United have continued to show a string of glaring issues at the back.

Despite securing a 2-0 win against Brighton last weekend, that is the only clean sheet that they have recorded from any of their previous 12 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems back to March 9th.

Betting Tip: Phil Foden to score anytime @ 2/1 with Pribet

19:30 Leuven vs Westerlo

Although Leuven might have only just clung to their Pro League status this season, Saturday’s hosts have enjoyed a hugely impressive end to the 2023/24 campaign. With their status among Belgium’s elite already confirmed for another year, Oscar Garcia’s men will be confident about making a final weekend statement here.

Opening May with a stellar performance as they stormed their way to a 3-1 romp against St. Liege, the Whites have now collected seven points from their previous three Pro League appearances.

Likewise, suffering just a single defeat from any of their previous eight top-flight showdowns, Leuven have also collected some heavyweight scalps.

Including a 2-1 win against Gent on April 14th, the former Reims boss has seen his squad gain a reputation for their continued success at the King Power.

In fact, along with winning all of their last three straight matchups in front of their own supporters by an aggregate score of 6-2, they have also registered 12 points from their previous five home fixtures.

On the flip side, putting in another downbeat display last weekend as they suffered a routine 2-0 loss at home against KV Mechelen, Westerlo have the feel of a squad in the midst of a major crisis.

Really limping their way over the finishing line and coming under plenty of recent scrutiny, Bart Goor’s side have failed to collect a single victory from any of their previous 12 meetings against Pro League opposition.

With that extended rut stemming all the way back to February 16th, Saturday’s guests have also registered just four points on their 12-match winless run.

It should also be highlighted, Westerlo have lost all of their previous five consecutive showdowns outside of Antwerp by an aggregate score of 12-5.
