(GSM) – Simon Mignolet is close to finalizing a deal with Sunderland.
The goalie currently plays for Sint Truiden in Belgium – Pro League and Sunderland are confident that he will be providing the back-up to No 1 Craig Gordon next season.
PSV have been chasing the Belgium Under-21 goalkeeper for some time but he held talks with the Black Cats over the weekend and is keen on a move to the Stadium of Light.
“I hope I can pass my medical tests and then sign my contract,” the Belgian stopper Mignolet said.
