Milan duo’s future still not clear

Sky Sports are today reporting that the future of AC Milan due Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva remains uncertain.

This comes after the clubs vice-president Adriano Galliani came out and said: “On 31st August we will reveal what the group will be, and it will be very competitive,

“That doesn’t mean that Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will leave. Anything is possible though as the transfer market is very unpredictable.”

Both players have been linked with moves away from the club in this transfer window with Manchester City reportedly interested in Ibrahimovic, whereas La Liga giants Barcelona seem to be admirers of Thiago Silva.

The Swedish striker worked with Roberto Mancini during his time at Inter Milan so may be keen to link up with him again, especially given the uncertainty of a number of forwards at the English Premier League Champions.

Ibrahimovic impressed for his national side at Euro 2012, scoring two goals and leading the line fantastically.

As for Thiago Silva, he has been the subject of a lot of transfer rumours this summer with a number of clubs interested in the defender.

Milan are likely to want to keep two of their star men at the San Siro though, but if a big money move comes in it could be tough to turn down.

It is certainly a fascinating story to keep an eye on and is sure to have plenty of twists and turns.
