AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri is expecting a stern test from Genoa on Friday.
The two sides collide in the Serie A, with Allegri’s side aiming for all three points at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in their bid to be the first side to win in Genoa this season.
Milan are unbeaten in seven matches – with six of them being wins – but Allegri still knows that Friday’s match will not be easy.
“It will be a tough match for us,” Allegri said. “Genoa are a good team and always put in excellent performances at home.”
“They’ll try to play well tomorrow, therefore we need to be ready to attack them if we want to get three points from the match.”
Despite playing so well this season, Milan have conceded 13 goals away from home in seven matches in all competitions.
And that is something that Allegri wants to fixed as soon as possible, with the coach hoping his side’s recent 0-0 draw at Fiorentina will provide inspiration to his defensive unit.
“We definitely need to improve our performance in away matches, in particular in not letting our opponents score,” he said.
“We picked up seven points in the last three matches away from home, and that’s an average record. We have two away matches now and we should try not to let our opponents score.”
“That’s what we did in Florence and hopefully tomorrow we’ll make it two away matches with no goals from our opponents.”
