hot-transfer-newsMilan to move for Sakho

AC Milan are considering a bid for Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sakho, according to L’Equipe.

The Rossoneri are still on the lookout for a high-profile central defender and they have been keeping close tabs on the France international.

L’Equipe has suggested that AC Milan will make their interest concrete if they win the Champions League play-off against PSV Eindhoven.

Sakho has already expressed his desire to leave Parc des Princes in search of first team football, and he has been even more determined to quit the Saints after dropping out of the France squad.

With the player’s current contract due to expire in a year’s time, chances are he will be available on a cut-price deal this summer.

The 23-year-old, who has amassed 151 Ligue 1 appearances in his career, is also on the radar of Liverpool.

Monaco close on Kondogbia

Spanish radio Cadena Cope is reporting that Monaco are winning the chase for Sevilla midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia.

Even if Real Madrid were believed to be the favourites for the player’s signature, it looks as though the French giants are close to securing his services.

Cadena Cope reports that Monaco are set to wrap up a €12 million deal for the highly rated footballer.

The Principality Club are close to reaching an agreement with Sevilla and they are confident they can conclude the transfer before the summer transfer window closes.

Geoffrey Kondogbia only joined los Rojiblancos last summer from Lens, but he quickly developed into one of La Liga’s top holding midfielders.

Following a very successful season on club level, the 20-year-old helped France win the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey by scoring 2 goals in 7 appearances for les Bleus.

Zenit submit offer for Salvio

Portuguese daily Record has learned that Zenit St Petersburg have submitted an official proposal for Benfica attacker Eduardo Salvio.

The Argentine is one of the players who would be allowed to leave should the right offer come along, and it looks as though the club chiefs have been given a real food for thought.

Record understands that Zenit have made an official offer for the player’s services that is currently being considered by the Eagles officials.

The Russian giants are keen on reinforcing their attack with the 23-year-old footballer who was left out of the squad for the opening league fixture against Maritimo.

Eduardo Salvio could be interested in leaving Benfica after spending two of last three seasons at Estadio da Luz, but it remains to be seen whether he will be tempted by the offer from Russia.

The highly rated winger joined the Eagles in an €11 million deal from Atletico Madrid last summer and has since scored 10 goals in 29 league fixtures.
