Motta seeks clarity on Inter intentions

The agent of midfielder Thiago Motta has warned Inter that they may risk losing his client if they do not make their intentions for the future known.

Dario Canovi, who represents the 29-year-old, admits that he is currently unsure of what the coming months will bring for Motta, whose current deal expires at the end of next season.

“I do not know what will happen at the end of the season, but we will be one year away from the expiry of his contract and it will be crucial to know what the intentions of Inter are,” Canovi told Milanotoday.it.

Despite an injury-hit start to the campaign, Motta has become a regular fixture in the Nerazzurri midfield, which has coincided with an upturn in Inter’s form, and Canovi has led the calls for the Brazil-born star to represent Italy at Euro 2012.

“For the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine, I am sure that (Cesare) Prandelli will find it difficult to dispose of a player with the class and personality of Thiago,” Canovi said.

Inter are 14th in the Serie A standings, and hope to sustain their recent improvement with three more points at home to Udinese on Saturday.
