Azzurri boss Walter Mazzarri is eager to sign Calaio as a back-up for red-hot Edinson Cavani and the San Paolo outfit are on the verge of agreeing a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Signing the highly rated centre-back might prove to be a more difficult task though, given that Napoli are only prepared to offer around €4m, whereas Siena are holding out for €8m.
