Napoli showing interest in Leandrinho

Italian giants Napoli are hot on the trail of Ponte Preta midfielder Leandro Henrique do Nascimento, Il Corriere dello Sport has suggested.

The 17-year-old starlet was spotted in club’s Castel Volturno training camp, with the Azzurri coaches clearly taking a closer look at his qualities.

Leandrinho has already caught the eye of quite a few top sides, with Manchester City one of the clubs vying for his signature.

The youngster mainly operates on the left wing, but can also play as an attacking midfielder and he is predicted a bright future in the game.

Napoli are not expected to submit an official proposal for his services just yet, but they rather plan to wait until the January transfer window.

Leandrinho has impressed playing for the Brazil Under-17 side, scoring two goals at the Under-17 World Cup before bagging another eight at the Under-17 South American Championship.
