Bayern Munich sporting director Christian Nerlinger has no doubt his team will be successful in the second half of the 2011-12 campaign.
Bayern currently sit atop the Bundesliga table with 37 points from 17 games while also qualifying for the Champions League last 16.
And Nerlinger is confident that they will end the season on a high.
“I’m utterly convinced we’ll be successful in the second half of the season. We have to finish as champions of Germany. Bayern can miss out on the title once, but not a second time,” Nerlinger said on the club’s official website.
Nerlinger also expressed his delight at the emergence of Borussia Dortmund as title rivals once more.
“BVB’s capture of Marco Reus means the time when Dortmund got away with underachieving is over, from this summer onwards at the latest,” he said.
“There’s a major title rival emerging, and I’m delighted about that.”
Dortmund currently sit joint second in the league table.
