Market: Nice win

Two sides enduring very different runs of form, high-flyers Nice will travel to rock bottom Guingamp on Sunday looking to extend their winning run.

Starting with the hosts, while Guingamp may have managed to secure a midtable finish last season, things could not be going any worse for Jocelyn Gourvennec’s side this time around. Sat three points adrift at the bottom of the Ligue 1 table, they have managed to pick up just one league win this year. Coming off the back of a 2-1 loss away to Reims last weekend, Guingamp have now lost their last three on the bounce and they have plenty of problems at both ends of the pitch. Now conceding 10 in their last three and holding the worst defensive record in Ligue 1, Las Costarmoricains have also managed to score just 10 I return, once again the worst tally in France’s top tier.

As for the visitors, coming off the back of a 2-0 win over Lille last weekend, it has been quite the turnaround for Patrick Viera’s side. Really appearing to find their feet under the Arsenal legend, Nice have now won their last five matches on the bounce and have begun to climb up the Ligue 1 table. Withing touching distance of breaking into the Champions League positions, it will be their defensive record most impressing Viera. Nice have now gone over 300 minuets with conceding a league goal. Beating Guingamp in the reverse fixture last season, we’re backing Nice to extend their winning run to six games.
