AC Milan midfielder Antonio Nocerino says Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Chievo shows they will not give up the fight for the Serie A title.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men collected only one point from their previous two league games and lost top spot to Juventus at the weekend, but Nocerino was pleased to see his Milan side bounce back against Chievo.
“We have shown that we are not finished yet. We will keep on fighting until the end. We have to try and win every game to put the pressure on Juventus. We will then see what happens,” Nocerino said to Milan Channel.
“It was a great win for us. I really enjoyed our fighting spirit. This team never give up. It’s a squad full of great champions and serious people. All the so-called older players are still incredibly strong.”
Milan currently hold a two-point lead at the top of the table, but Juventus can return to the summit with a win against Lazio on Wednesday.
