Norwich City have completed a 1.5 million pounds deal for Leeds United midfielder Robert Snodgrass.

The 24-year-old, who has signed a three-year deal, arrived at Elland Road in 2008 from Livingston and has gone on to make 191 appearances for the club scoring 41 goals.

In his time with the Whites he earned his first Scotland cap and was twice named the club’s player of the year.

Leeds boss Neil Warnock admitted he was upset to be losing the Scot and revealed he was offered a pay rise and the captaincy in attempt to keep him in Yorkshire.

Warnock told the club’s official website: “I can honestly say that in all my time in football, I’ve never worked as hard in trying to keep a player.

“He was offered the best contract, the captaincy, and we would have built around him so I am very disappointed.

“He’s made it clear what he wants to do and he’s had his head turned. He wants to play in the Premier League.”
