According to Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest are in the final stages of negotiations with Inter Milan over a loan deal for Davide Frattesi. A potential deal is expected to include an option for the Premier League club to turn it into a permanent transfer at the end of the season. The final decision, however, will be down to the player himself.
Frattesi was a subject of interest in the Premier League last summer too – it was Newcastle who reportedly approached Inter for the services of the 26-year-old midfielder, but the Nerazzurri were not interested in selling back then. It seems things have changed somewhat since then.
Frattesi, who scored the goal against Barcelona which sent Inter into the Champions League final last season, has made a total of 19 appearances across all competitions this term, recording three assists but no goals. He has, however, started just once in the Serie A, and his desire to play regularly ahead of the World Cup this year seems evident.
