Nowak received a red card for the incident and has been suspended a further game for his actions, and was fined a total of US$5,000

Chivas USA manager Robin Frasier was also involved in the incident, but was only fined $500 for his actions.

Both clubs also received fines, with the Union being docked $5,000 while Chivas copped $2,500 in penalties.
