Olympiakos too strong for Xanthi, Panathinaikos beat PAOK

(GSM) – Olympiakos Piraeus earned a convincing 0-3 win at Xanthi in Saturday’s Greek Super league action, while Panathinaikos beat PAOK 1-0 to defend their second place.

Spaniard Albert Riera handed leaders Olympiakos a 0-1 lead after 16 minutes as Xanthi, and Vassilis Torosidis added a second eight minutes after the break.

The third and final away goal came from Giannis Fetfatzidis in the 75th minute.

Panathinaikos remained at one point from the top following a narrow win over PAOK in the day’s top clash.

The only goal of the match, played in Athens, came from Loukas Vyntra after 20 minutes of play.
