Osasuna want to sign Iker Muniain from Athletic Bilbao

Osasuna are interested in signing Iker Muniain from Athletic Bilbao in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. Muniain is out of contract at Athletic at the end of the season, and Osasuna want to secure the services of the 30-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, in the middle of the campaign.

Muniain has been on the books of Athletic since 2005 and has come through the club’s youth academy. The attacker has been superb for the Basque club over the years and is one of the best players in La Liga. Muniain has made two starts and four substitute appearances in the league so far this season. Muniain made 34 starts and one substitute appearance in La Liga last campaign, scoring four goals and providing 10 assists in the process.

Osasuna are 13th in the La Liga table at the moment with seven points from six matches, seven points behind Athletic Bilbao, who are currently fourth in the standings.
