Miguel Pardeza has spoken positively about Kaka’s contribution to Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna.

Deportivo fell behind to Riki’s first-half strike, before goals from Kaka and Gonzalo Higuain late on saw the visitors pick up the three points.

Speaking to Realmadrid.com after the game, former Real forward Pardeza was keen to praise the Brazil international’s performance but also highlight his potential impact as the season wears on.

“Kaka has played a very good game and I am happy for him because he’s working well,” the 48-year-old Spaniard said.

“All the players are important in the long and demanding season we have. We hope it stays that way.

“We are ready and will face our (remaining) games seriously. I am convinced that the team will face all encounters with great integrity and professionalism.”

Kaka, who has now scored only three times in his limited outings for Real so far this season, also appeared upbeat about his role at the club.

“I’m getting better and I think things are improving,” the 30-year-old said.

“I’m happy to help the team. If the coach needs me I’ll be there.”

Real Madrid remain third in La Liga with 52 points from their 25 fixtures.
