Arsenal forward Park Chu-Young is focusing on learning and improving in training while he waits for a chance to impress in the first team.

The South Korean striker has yet to make a Premier League appearance since his move from Monaco in the summer, although he scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 Carling Cup victory over Bolton in October.

Manager Arsene Wenger is set to lose Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, but Park is not counting on the tournament as a chance to stake his claim.

“All my team mates are great players,” he told the club’s official website.

“I do not expect a chance for me because a player is unavailable.”

“I will do my best to prepare myself to take any random chances at any time.”

“I am new to this club and to the Premier League. I am trying hard to learn more and more. I don’t worry about getting used to everything or anything.”

“My team-mates are nice to me and I do not have any problems at all regarding training.”

The 26-year-old has 57 international caps to his name and has scored 26 goals for South Korea.

He has made three Carling Cup appearances for the Gunners, as well as a start against Marseille in the Champions League.
