Parma president Pietro Leonardi has warned Juventus they will have a fight on their hands if they plan on bringing back Sebastian Giovinco from his co-ownership deal.

Parma paid the current league leaders three million euros for a 50 percent share of Giovinco’s rights during the last transfer window and they appear intent on keeping him.

Juve general director Giuseppe Marotta said the Turin outfit were keeping an open mind on the player’s return next summer, following Giovinco’s promising start to the season.

“Marotta said Juventus want Giovinco back? Well, I do not need to respond to that as he [Marotta], perhaps, has his own beliefs,” Leonardi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“However, we have a co-ownership with Juventus which is open, but for now Giovinco is in all effects a Parma player.”

“In any case, I do not think now is the time to speak about it.”

Giovinco has scored five goals in four games for Parma this season.
