Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Javier Pastore is hoping for a quick recovery from a thigh strain.

The Argentine picked up the injury in the course of his side’s 4-0 Coupe de France victory over Sable-sur-Sarthe on Friday.

Pastore was withdrawn by Carlo Ancelotti less than half an hour into the cup clash, and the attacker is aiming for a speedy recovery.

“It’s a little better, even if I felt pain today. I’m having a test on Friday to find out exactly how long I’m going to have to be treated. Today we’re counting three weeks, but we’ll know more on Friday,” Pastore told Maxifoot.

“For the moment, I’m staying calm, and I’m having physio therapy. I want to recover as soon as possible.”

PSG return to Ligue 1 action with a trip to Brest on Saturday, with the Parisians currently sitting three points clear of Montpellier at the top of the table.
