Giampaolo Pazzini said he believes that Inter’s next four games will be crucial in determining the outcome of its Serie A campaign.

In an interview with Inter Channel on Thursday, the 27-year-old said it is imperative that the Coppa Italia holders successfully overcome fixtures before the winter break against Fiorentina, Genoa, Cesena and Lecce in order to climb the league table.

“The next four games that await us will be determinants (for our season). We will get back up, as they are fundamental and we will give our all,” Pazzini said.

Pazzini recently hit the headlines for skying a last-minute penalty during the Inter’s 1-0 home defeat to Udinese last weekend, which cost them the chance of gaining a point at the San Siro.

However, the forward was pensive about the miss and proceeded to emphasize his love for the Milan club.

“There are times when things can go for better or worse, but I try to always give everything,” he said.

“I am very pleased to wear it (the Inter shirt).”

“Inter are one of the top teams in Europe, the champion of the world. I feel satisfaction and responsibility, but a big responsibility.”

“This is a heavy jersey but beautiful, very beautiful to wear.”

Pazzini also spoke on coach Claudio Ranieri, who has endured a mixed spell since being appointed the club’s coach as a replacement for Gian Piero Gasperini, and said that he and his teammates are behind the 60-year-old.

“We support Ranieri very much, he has presented himself very well, but then there were injuries and other problems, which although certainly should not be used as an excuse, they have been prevalent and affected us,” he said.

“He is a great man of football and gives tranquility to the team.”

Inter hosts Fiorentina in Serie A on Saturday.
