Real Madrid defender Pepe is in line to return for his team’s clash against Getafe after resuming full training.

The Portugal international sustained a head injury in Real’s 1-1 La Liga draw against Valencia last Sunday and consequently missed the 3-2 loss to Barcelona in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup.

Nevertheless, the defender has now been given the green light to resume regular training action and is expected to make his comeback against Getafe.

Pepe’s return to the match squad means that Raul Albiol is likely to drop to the bench again after taking the former Porto star’s place against Barca.

Madrid will be looking to record their first victory of the 2012/13 campaign on Sunday after failing to beat Valencia and Barca in their first two competitive fixtures of the season.
