Substitute Angelo Henriquez’s first Manchester United goal was overshadowed by injuries to two team-mates in the 1-1 draw against AIK.

Henriquez stepped off the bench to replace the injured Nani before half-time and cancelled out Robin Quasion’s wonderful curling effort after the interval as United brought an end to their pre-season tour.

But with Jonny Evans also being forced off in the second half with what looked to be an ankle injury, it was a frustrating spectacle for David Moyes at the Friends Arena.

The United manager made eight changes to the side that beat Kitchee 5-2, with Nemanja Vidic returning and talisman Robin van Persie starting up front.

There was no place for striker Wayne Rooney, the subject of a series of bids from Premier League rivals Chelsea, as he missed the trip with a shoulder injury.

The home side took time out from their hectic league campaign but showed no signs of fatigue as they pushed United for the full 90 minutes.

Winger Martin Kayongo-Mutumba should have put the hosts ahead early on but Anders Lindegaard produced an excellent reflex save.

At the other end, Van Persie had a great chance but Kenny Stamatopoulos was on hand to thwart the danger.

Nani hobbled off with half an hour gone and Henriquez immediately made an impression with his direct running and energy.

United replaced Lindegaard with Ben Amos at half-time and the goalkeeper’s first act was to pick the ball out of the net after Quasion’s sublime effort from the edge of the box four minutes into the second half.

Moyes’ men looked stunned and things went from bad to worse when Evans had to be replaced soon after.

But the pace of Wilfried Zaha and Henriquez provided them with a lifeline, the pair combining in the 68th minute as Zaha’s teasing cross was met with a decisive volley by the Chilean at the far post.

Danny Welbeck was introduced late on and the England international should have scored from a goalmouth scramble but United had to settle for a draw.
