Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund built confidence ahead of the 2013/14 football season, with a 4-1 friendly win over Bursaspor.
Robert Lewandowski, Marco Reus and new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got on the scoresheet on Saturday for the German powerhouse at the Bursa Ataturk Stadium.
Lewandowski scored the opener in ugly fashion, as Aubameyang’s shot from the left was saved by the Turkish club’s keeper – only for the ball to shoot straight up and fall for an easy tap in for the Pole at the back post.
Aubameyang then doubled the lead himself when he was put through by Lewandowski on the Gabonese attacker’s more familiar right side, tucking a shot under the on-rushing keeper on the stroke of half-time for 2-0.
Marco Reus added a third with a well-time shot from the edge of the area after the interval, before a defensive calamity saw the Turks concede an own goal.
Bursaspor scored from a corner late on for a consolation.
