Blackburn swept comfortably past Wolves with a three-goal win that saw them move into the top half of the table.
The home side were 2-0 up by half-time with goals from David Dunn and Brett Emerton.
Ryan Nelsen then put the game beyond doubt 10 minutes into the second half, with Wolves now having the worst defensive record in the league.
Blackburn were eager to exorcise their demons from last weekend’s 7-1 drubbing by Manchester United.
Wolves, however, started the day joint bottom of the table with West Ham and have now lost their last six Premier League games on the road.
Blackburn had the better of the first half but it could have been a very different story if Wolves had converted their early chances.
Matthew Jarvis had a fierce attempt parried by goalkeeper Paul Robinson in the second minute.
Blackburn continued to ride their luck as Wolves struck the post three times in quick succession three minutes later.
But Blackburn took the lead just before the half-hour mark through Dunn.
Pedersen sent a corner to the far post where Nelsen rose to nod the ball back across goal for Dunn to head home.
The game looked beyond Wolves as Blackburn doubled their advantage in the 43rd minute.
Roberts outmuscled Christophe Berra to latch onto a long ball from defence.
The striker then slipped a pass to Emerton who unleashed a wonderful left-footed drive into the top corner.
Sam Allardyce’s side secured the three points on 55 minutes when Pedersen’s curling free kick was met by an unmarked Nelsen who volleyed past Wayne Hennessey.
Robinson produced a string of outstanding saves to quell the Wolves fight back and guarantee a clean sheet.
Blackburn have now won their last three consecutive home games with last weekend’s loss at Old Trafford reduced to a distant memory.
