Blackburn will look to build on their win over Fulham when they travel to Everton in the English Premier League on Saturday.

Rovers recorded their second win in three league games with a 3-1 victory at home to Fulham, moving out of the relegation zone.

It came despite having star striker Yakubu, who has netted 12 league goals, sent off in the 23rd minute.

The Nigerian’s availability will depend on whether Blackburn appeal the red card ahead of a trip to Goodison Park.

Steve Kean’s men, who are clear of the drop zone on goal difference, meet an Everton side winless in their last three league outings.

Losses to Bolton and Tottenham were followed by a draw at Aston Villa, leaving them 11th in a congested middle part of the table.

Everton’s problems have been up front, with their top scorers – Leighton Baines, Leon Osman and Apostolos Vellios – netting just three times.

Striker Victor Anichebe, who has provided a much-needed presence up front, went down with what appeared to be another knee injury against Villa, but should be fit to face Blackburn.

American Landon Donovan has arrived on loan and could be handed a start, possibly easing the pressure on goal-less Australian attacker Tim Cahill.

Manager David Moyes has been forced to rubbish reports linking the struggling Cahill with a move to Queens Park Rangers.

Moyes is still missing several players, with Sylvain Distin, Seamus Coleman, Tony Hibbert, Osman, Jack Rodwell and Phil Jagielka on the injury list.

Blackburn will almost certainly be without defender Christophe Samba, who has handed in a transfer request, while Scott Dann is also reportedly on the way out.

Vince Grella, Michel Salgado and captain Ryan Nelsen remain out because of injury.

Blackburn completed a strong win over Fulham without gun striker Yakubu, and they are sure to be tested again against an Everton side desperate to kick-start their campaign.
