PSV hijack Dortmund’s bid for Maximilian Romero

PSV Eindhoven have announced the signing of Argentine striker Maximilian Romero from Velez Sarsfield.

The highly rated youngster was believed to be set to join Borussia Dortmund in a €12 million deal, but the Dutch giants managed to hijack the move.

PSV Eindhoven announced the news via their Twitter account, showing a video of the club buying Romero on Football Manager 2018.

The 18-year-old signed a five-and-a-half-year deal after the two clubs have agreed on a transfer fee, and he will soon get a chance to showcase his skills in Dutch Eredivisie.

Romero already has some top-flight experience, having scored 7 goals in 40 league fixtures in Argentina.
