The agent of Fabio Quagliarella has dismissed the possibility of his client leaving Juventus in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old missed the second half of last season with a serious knee injury but is now fit and available for selection.

However, Quagliarella has yet to feature this term and there has been mounting speculation that he will be allowed to leave in January, but agent Giuseppe Bozzo insists that his client is staying in Turin.

“I’ll answer it (the transfer speculation) now: absolutely not,” he told Tutto Juve.

“Quagliarella was, is and will be a Juventus forward. As soon as he returns to the field, he will demonstrate the qualities that he displayed for the team before the injury.”

Bozzo also addressed the rumours that Conte’s reticence to call upon Quaglierella stems from the suspicion that the forward has not yet fully recovered from his injury, either physically or mentally.

“I have also read of this hesitation, but having regularly spoken with the player, I have not found (any) evidence (of it),” Bozzo said.

“Fabio is now ready and available to return to the field as a protagonist.”

Quagliarella joined Juve on loan last summer and made a fine start to life in Turin, scoring nine goals in 17 appearances before his campaign was cut short by injury.

However, the club still enacted their right to buy the player at the end of the season for 10.5 million euros.
