Ramirez to leave Bologna: agent

Attacking midfielder Gaston Ramirez will leave Bologna in the next transfer window, according to representative Vincenzo D’Ippolito.

The 20-year-old Uruguayan has been with the Serie A side since last season and has made a grand impression on the Italian top flight.

D’Ippolito said Ramirez’s form in Italy will see him move elsewhere, and maximise his value in the market.

“The executives of Bologna will have to resign themselves: Ramirez, between January and June, will surely leave,” said the agent in an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss.

Ramirez has a contract with Alberto Malesani’s side until 2015 but this seems to matter little to D’Ippolito, who is certain his star will attract offers.

“Will he go to Napoli? Many teams like him. We will see,” D’Ippolito said.

The loss would be a big blow to Bologna, who recently fired Pierpaolo Bisoli and drafted in Stefano Pioli after their poor start to the Serie A season.

The Emilia Romagna side have a single point from five matches and face newly-promoted Novara after the international break.
