Aaron Ramsey will leave Arsenal at the end of the season, the Mirror claim they’ve understood.
The future of the Welshman has been an object of speculation for a long time now. Upon his arrival at the club, manager Unai Emery revealed he had planned to build the team around him. This meant any role Jack Wilshere might have had would have been reduced, so Wilshere opted to leave the club and join West Ham. All was set for Ramsey and Mesut Ozil to completely take over the task of the team’s main creative force.
However, it seems the negotiations between the player and the club have broken down, and Arsenal have withdrawn all offers. As it stands, there’s nothing for Ramsey to sign even if he wanted to. There’s a long way to go yet before the current deal expires next summer and a lot may change by then, but other clubs will have been alerted to the possibility of signing a player of Ramsey’s quality for free.
