Real Madrid will decide whether to keep or part ways with head coach Santiago Solari today, according to AS.
Following the club’s exit from Copa del Rey and the Champions League, as well as a further loss of ground on fierce rivals Barcelona in La Liga that all but ended their hopes of winning the title, Solari’s future with the club has come into grave doubt.
Former bosses Jose Mourinho and Zinedine Zidane have both been mentioned in the context of possible replacement, but first it remains for the club to decide whether there will be any change.
Solari has been in charge only since the end of October last year, and though since then the team hasn’t fared any better than under his predecessor Julen Lopetegui, it remains to be seen if he will be given more time to set things right. But whatever the decision is, it’s expected to be made today (Monday).
