Marseille could make a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Lucas Barrios during the January transfer window.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp confirmed on Tuesday that he is interested in signing Marseille forward Loic Remy and, according to RMC, the Ligue 1 outfit are lining up Barrios as a potential replacement.

Dortmund have stated their desire to hold on to the Paraguay international, but chief executive officer Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed Barrios could force through a move in January.

It has been reported that the Bundesliga champions would be willing to part company with the player for 12 million euros.

It has already been claimed that La Liga outfit Malaga have offered 10 million euros for Barrios, who has spent most of this season on the bench.

The 27-year-old forward played an integral role in last season’s league triumph but, after missing the start of the season because of a hamstring strain suffered during the Copa America, he failed to regain his place in Dortmund’s starting line-up from Robert Lewandowski.

He has started just one Bundesliga match this campaign, and has not found the back of the net for Dortmund since May.
