Rodrigo signs for Benfica

Benfica have announced the signing of striker Rodrigo from Real Madrid for the fee of 6 million euros.

The 19-year-old have signed a five-year contract and is set to be presented on Tuesday at Estadio da Luz, in a friendly match against Tottenham.

Rodrigo Moreno Machado was born is Brazil but he now has a Spanish passport and plays for La Furia Roja youth teams. He scored the only goal for Spain in the Under-19 European Championship final defeat to France.

Real Madrid has included a clause in the contract that allow them to buy back the player for 12 million euros at the end of the season.
