Sanchez, Alcantara nearing fitness

Barcelona forwards Alexis Sanchez and Thiago Alcantara have resumed training and could soon return from their respective injury absences.

Chile international Sanchez suffered a small tear to his right thigh earlier this month, and has since been out of action.

The former Udinese man missed the Champions League match against Bayer Leverkusen last week, and Sunday’s La Liga match against Racing Santander due to the problem.

But the European champions have announced on their official website Sanchez has resumed regular training again.

Meanwhile, Alcantara is also back training, as he continues to recover from the right tibia injury that prevented him from playing in the last three matches, against Sporting Gijon, Leverkusen and Racing.

Barca travel to face Sevilla in La Liga on Saturday.
