Schweini to miss Germany tie

(GSM) – Bayern München midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will miss Germany’s upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers against Turkey and Kazakhstan.

Despite, being a key player for his country as Germany reached another the semi-final of the World Cup this summer, a foot injury sustained against Borussia Dortmund at the weekend means the 26-year-old will miss the nation’s next two qualifiers.

Germany are top of Group A and level on six points with second-placed Turkey after two games.

Hamburger SV defender Marcell Jansen will also miss the games against Turkey and Kazakhstan, the DFB added.
