Juventus remain on top of the Serie A after coming from behind to salvage a point in a 1-1 draw at Catania on Sunday.

Antonio Conte’s side travelled to Catania undefeated in three matches, and they continued that run with a well-earned point at the Stadio Angelo Massimino.

It was the hosts who had the best of the early stages, however, taking the lead on 22 minutes through Gonzalo Bergessio.

The Argentine converted compatriot Alejandro Gomez’s assist, but Catania’s lead was cancelled out by Serbian Milos Krasic four minutes after half-time.

Udinese are level on points and goal difference with Juventus, behind only on goals scored, after they drew 0-0 at Cagliari, while Lazio and Palermo also played out a goalless stalemate.

Chievo climbed to third after a 2-1 home win over Genoa, with goals to Sergio Pellissier and Davide Moscardelli in the last 20 minutes – the latter coming in the second minute of stoppage time – sealing a comeback win for the hosts.

Atalanta defeated Novara also 2-1, with Ezequiel Schelotto and Luca Cigarini on the score sheet, while a second-half double from Emanuele Calaio helped Siena to a 3-0 home win over Lecce.
