Lille president Michel Seydoux has confirmed the Ligue 1 club have accepted a bid from Fenerbahce for forward Moussa Sow.
The Super Lig outfit announced to the Stock Exchange last week that they had agreed to pay an initial 10-million-euro fee for the Senegal striker, with an additional three million euros to come in bonuses.
Seydoux did not disclose the exact details of the deal, but he did reveal that Sow’s switch to Turkey is almost complete.
“The transfer agreement is signed now,” Seydoux said. “There are a number of things that need to be done, including the medical.”
“My information is not quite the same as those of the newspapers. I do not know which are the best, most honest and most true.”
“But for now, we have no concern. At worst, if he should return, he will return. This does not prevent us from sleeping.”
Sow, who is currently away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, had stated last week that his dream was to join Liverpool.
However, it has been claimed that the Premier League outfit refused to match Fenerbahce’s bid for the player, who hit 25 goals in Ligue 1 last season.
