Birmingham City need to watch out for Tottenham’s great away form, according to manager Harry Redknapp.
Tottenham are still buzzing after their 3-2 comeback victory at rivals Arsenal last month and he praised his team’s spirit ahead of Saturday’s trip to Birmingham.
Redknapp said: “A lot of teams go through a season without winning away. We’ve got 10 points away from home this season.”
“You need more than a point away from home to win the league or be in the top four.”
“We went to Stoke and won, went to Arsenal and won and so we’re in good form and playing good football.”
“We have players who attack and sometimes we will go behind but you can’t write us off because there are goals in us. “There’s always a chance we can come back. We have good spirit – a never-say-die attitude everyone wants.”
Recent bitterly cold conditions have affected the team’s preparation.
“It has been difficult out there – we haven’t got under-soil heating.”
“We’ve cleared the pitch of snow and so we did manage to get outside.”
“Our new training ground will have under-soil heating.”
Centre-back Michael Dawson returns to the side having overcome an ankle problem he picked up on England duty.
David Bentley (calf) and Robbie Keane (ankle) are doubts.
Definitely missing are Tom Huddlestone (ankle), Younes Kaboul (hip), Jermaine Jenas (calf), Jamie O’Hara (back), Rafael van der Vaart (hamstring) and Giovanni Dos Santos, Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate (all groin).
