Standard Liege striker set for Premier League move

Belgian daily newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws is reporting that Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi is nearing a switch to England.

The product of club’s youth academy has exploded onto the biggest stage this season and he currently tops the goalscoring charts in Jupiler Pro League.

And the latest reports from Belgium are suggesting that the 20-year-old is on the verge of leaving les Rouches.

The same source has suggested that an unnamed Premier League side are set to complete the signing of Batshuayi for a fee of €8 million.

As soon as the agreement is reached, the striker’s new club will loan him to Anderlecht until the end of the season.

talkSPORT believes the club in question is Arsenal, with the Gunners already casting admiring glances Batshuayi’s way.

Swansea are also believed to be in the mix, but it looks as though we will have to wait and see just where the talented forwards ends up.
