(GSM) – Internazionale midfielder Dejan Stankovic has quashed rumours linking him with Schalke 04 insisting he wants to end his career with the Nerazzurri.

Speculative reports have suggested that German outfit Schalke 04 are set to make a move for the 32-year-old.

However, Stankovic concedes he is in the dark over the Schalke link and plans to finish his career at the San Siro.

“It’s the first time I have heard that Schalke are interested in me and I can say that it is nice when teams still look for you at 32,” Stankovic told Vercerjne Novosti.

“However, I cannot see myself far from Inter or Italy, where I have been living for 13 years.

“This is my first experience abroad and I hope the last one.

“I hope to close my career with Inter as I feel at home here.

“I think I will conclude my career at Inter, I am 95 per cent sure.”

Stankovic, who is the captain of the Serbian national team, joined the Inter from Lazio in 2004.
